Last weekend (18th – 20th September) saw some members of our Transition’s group take part in our first ever residential weekend! We spent two nights at Fritton Lodge, and had a very enjoyable weekend!
This weekend allowed our young people to develop core skills such as cooking, sharing spaces and caring for themselves independently. Friday evening we got settled and each young person made themselves a pizza for their dinner, followed by enjoying some social time and watching a film. On the Saturday we enjoyed a trip away from Fritton to Banham zoo before returning to cook our evening meal and socialise in the evening, including playing on the wii and watching a film! Our young people returned home Sunday morning after what was a very successful and fun weekend!
This was first for TOPCATS and we hope to be able to provide more residential weekends in the near future!
